Over the next few years, This Land will prioritize enshrining “fossil fuel risk bonds,” a concept developed by Center for Sustainable Economy, into policy and binding law. We are currently focused on implementing fossil fuel risk bonds in the the Critical Energy Infrastructure (CEI) Hub along the Willamette River, which supplies fuel to 90% of Oregon’s population and is highly vulnerable to seismic activity.
